The Cougar And The Cub’s Big Day….

G’day all

Two sleeps to go and at 10am Saturday the 14th I will be standing there waiting with a grin on my face from ear to ear as Joan and i will be getting married.

So the big day is fast approaching family and friends have started to arrive from all over, so things are pretty busy at the moment going from one Airport to the next to pick them up, luckily they all have rooms in the same building everyone is in the one place. I have a sneaky feeling that plenty of the amber fluid will pass the lips over the next few days, but I promise I will be good.

Just to fill you all in on how the day is going to be, we are getting married in the gardens of our home with about 25 friends and family attending  from there we are going to a beautiful restaurant over looking the ocean for a light meal and with Champagne ( Coffee for me of course ). Once that is all done we are then going to have a very casual BBQ at 5.00pm with the additional friends and a few more coffee’s, just a very simple but nice time with our closest family members and friends so all in all should be a great day.

So check back in about a week as there will be pic’s of the charming couple to look at. lol

Just so you know i have also taken steps to make sure the day go’s as planned.

Joan’s car is locked away in the garage, with no fuel or wheels, and have informed her friends that the wedding is at 12pm Sunday, just in case she decides to change her mind, but hey how could she, lol,lol,lol

Just For A Laugh….

Thought you might like this one, gave me a laugh

DEAR TECH SUPPORT,

This year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and
noticed a
distinct slow down in overall system performance,
particularly in the
flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly
under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs,
such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed
undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL
3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6
simply crashes the system.

Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

DEAR DESPERATE,

First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment
Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to
download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt
3.0 update.

If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should
then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can
cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy
Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.

Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will
download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install
Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that
will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the
Boyfriend 5.0 program
These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does
have limited
memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might
consider
buying additional software to improve memory and
performance. We
recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Small Changes Are What Is Needed…..

G,day All,

I was asked an interesting question today by a friend i have not seen for a while in regards to my weight loss, he asked, what diet plan did i go to loose my weight??

Well my answer to him was none, which i could see took him a little by surprise, but it got me to thinking, why is it that so many people think they have to go on these so called diets to loose weight.

With all the dieting products and tips and tricks that are out there today, and i firmly believe that some do work, why is it that we think we have to change our whole lifestyle in a second to achieve our own personal weight loss goals. The problem i think with a lot of these life changing diets is that they are more of a quick fix then a long term solution to our weight problems, and sure you get to feel great for a short period of time but what we are really after is to feel good all the time.

When i wrote my ebook, i stressed that with my own weight loss goals i made plenty of changes both with my lifestyle and my diet, but what made it so easy for these changes to become a normal part of my day to day life was that i made these changes slowly and not all at once. Each week i would introduce something else that would be of benefit to me in the long run and start to form these changes as a habit, not a quick fix.

Making small but important changes to my diet and lifestyle made the change easy to handle, and it now has become a way of life for me, but i think it needs to be mentioned that just changing your diet is not enough, you do need to start moving, get yourelf of the lounge and out of the house and do some exercise, but again, and i cant stress enough take small steps and this will become easier and easier and soon it will become just a natural part of your day.

As i pointed out in my book its is very easy to loose the weight you want but you can not do this over night, you will have to make changes, but make them one step at a time, change one thing each week, and you will soon see just how easy it can be.

We all need to start to look after our health more and more, and i also think it needs to be said that our children do what we do, they need to see us as being active and looking after our health, if you go for a walk take the kids, and you all benefit.

Get Them Checked

G’day All

I am writing this post in the hope it gives you all a big wake up call if you have ever been putting off going and getting a full and i do mean FULL check up from your local Doctor.

Now let it be known right from the start that i am guilty of this, and have been putting of see my doctor and dentist for years, but as my future wife so calmly put it, you are going and you will like go, end of story, so like a good little boy away i went, (see already have the dent in my forehead from being under the thumb, mmmmmm).

So after giving at least half my blood to get tested and half a dozen teeth fixed, i marched on back to the docs to get the results of blood tests, and am very happy to say everything is 100% OK, great news. But here is what this post is all about, while i was getting my results my doctor suggested he check a few moles i have on my back, one he didn’t like the look off, so with no delay it was more needles, and out with the knife and away he went, 30 minutes later the little bugger was in the jar and on its way to be tested to see if it was a melanoma.

Fast forward to a week and the results are back and to my surprise, they came back positive, Stage 1 Melanoma, now let it be said it shocked the hell out of me, and i straight away am thinking that’s it, its all over red rover, set the table for the last super and lets get to it i don’t have much time left, not quite that bad but you get the idea.

Fast forward another week, and i am now dressed in this super attractive blue gown with no back and my Lilly white bum on show for the world to see, and am now lying in the operating theater, with another doctor now standing over me with an even bigger knife, with a nice grin on his face tell me don’t worry this wont take long, (easy for him to say). So an hour passes and i wake up with a nice 6 inches by 2 inches deep hunk out of my back, and am now waiting for the results for that as well, and will keep you posted on the out come.

The point i am making is this, it nice to be able to make fun of the situation and everything that has happened, this is still a nervous time, but i can not stress to you all enough, go and get your skin checked, this was one mole that i didn’t even know i had and it turned out to be a melanoma, if you don’t know these bloody things kill you if you don’t get them early, i was lucky, it was at the earliest stage, but had he not checked i can assure you i would have not gone to see him about them, it was a huge wake up call for me, you rest assured i will be darkening his door step every 6 months from now on.

So i hope this post get you to make the trip and darken your doctors door step, it could just be the one that saves your life.

Just to finish on, if you think i was under the thumb before from Joan, what do you think it’s like now that she says she saved my life, god i look good in my slippers mopping the floor, lol,lol

Food Diary Plus Tracking Your Results.

Not Keeping A Food Diary;

If you don’t keep a food diary how will you know how much you are
eating and what changes you have made, this is very important, a
study showed that those who kept o food diary lost more weight and
were more likely to stick to there weight loss program. A little
tip, have someone check your food diary each week there is nothing
better than knowing you have to do it right or you are in trouble,
believe me keeps you on track, none of us like to be in trouble.

Not Tracking Your Results;

This also ties in with the above, you must track your results, as
the numbers come down, there is no better motovator then seeing
that. So keep your results, make a graph on your computer, have
someone check it each week or once a month check it for you.

Exercise and Alcohol.

Thinking Of Exercise As A Chore;

Here is some food for thought, if today you woke up and could not
move your body from the neck down, do you think you would give
anything to be able to exercise, i bet you would, so get going, get
out there, go for a walk, join a gym, but start moving around, you
will be truly amazed just how good it feels.

Alcohol;

There is no way to put it but if you drink you are pouring sugar
straight into your body, a night on the beer or wine does not take
long to head to your waist, now i am not saying don’t have a
drink,(might as well cut my throat, lol) but i am saying do it in
moderation, think about what you are doing and the affect it will
have.

No Plan and Make Sure The Plate Is Empty…

G’day all,

Not Having A Plan;

You must have a plan on how you are going to tackle your weight
loss, there is an old saying “we never plan to fail, we just fail
to plan”. The trick here is get your plan and stick to it and like
i said before if you are going to make changes make them realistic
and make them gradual.

Making Sure The Plate Is Empty;

Remember when your parents told you,” you are not leaving the table
until you eat it all”, well this is so wrong in the case of weight
loss. When you have a meal, make sure you have water with it, and
if you are full stop eating, you can have the leftovers for lunch
the next day or dinner that night. Our body is telling us we have
had enough, don’t argue with it.

These are just a couple of more tips that should help you.
